Meet Julie…
Your Artist
Following her passion for all things creative, Julie studied art and design at collage, and later gained a qualification in interior design. As so often happens, family life took over and creativity took a back seat. However, she maintained her skills, bringing her art and design skills outside ~ by working on the garden design phase of her husband’s business, Duncan Mackintosh Landscapes, which she continues to do.
As the children grew up, Julie picked up her paint brushes again, and renewed her love of art through local classes, exhibiting bi-annually for several years in the Angus area.
Capturing Heart & Soul
Since her early years of painting stick figures on her dad’s barn, Julie has been developing her artistic skills. Growing up in the county she has a natural affintity with animals which shines through her work. She enjoys creating artistic works that capture the personality of her subjects, and endear themselves to the owners.
In addition to acrylic and watercolour animals, landscapes, and buildings, Julie now creates captivating pyrography images in warm sepia tones.
